Is it true that Ashwagandha is possibly only safe when used for up to 3 months?Updated a month ago

There is no evidence to suggest that it’s unsafe to take Ashwandha for longer than 3 months. While we need long-term clinical trial data, there are a few things to consider. 1. We use a specific type of Ashwagandha extract (KSM-66) that has been granted GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) status. 2. The dose in Fertility Booster also contains 200-300 times less ashwagandha than the No Observed Adverse Effect Level (NOAEL). 3. Importantly, studies on which this idea is based have significant limitations and cannot provide anything conclusive. Specifically, the limitations include reliance on case reports, use of animal models, absence of long-term human trials, small sample sizes, lack of control for confounding factors, and limited data on dose-response relationships. In short, these are not well-designed studies that provide meaningful data. 4. Lastly, to be called an “adaptogen,” an herb must have minimal to no side effects and be safe for long-term use. It should not disturb or harm normal bodily functions but support and stabilize them.
